As part of our on-going commitment to welcome you to the IIT community, we are sending you this second informative email to assist you in your transition to college life at IIT.
Our students have been part of some exciting opportunities and events over the past two weeks. Here are some highlights:
• Students presented at a two-day summit, organized by the Illinois Venture Capital Association, which was the place to be for any young company seeking cash.
• Several students performed in (and attended) the Fifth Annual Night at the Pops at VanderCook College of Music, which is located on the IIT campus.
• A number of students participated in the Midwest Biomedical Engineering Conference (MBEC) 2008.
• Many students attended the White Sox baseball home-opener with faculty and fellow classmates — the stadium is directly across the street from our campus!
• This week is Greek Week at IIT and our six fraternities and three sororities will be competing in a wide range of events and activities, including egg tosses, bat spins, and root-beer chugs.
We look forward to seeing you on campus in the fall as we continue to foster exciting developments in our community. Again, congratulations on your acceptance. If we can assist you or your family in any way over the course of the coming weeks, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Gerald P. Doyle

P.S. Would you like to learn more about Stuart School of Business? The school is hosting a very informal dinner for students to meet with faculty and current IIT students at the IIT BOG. You can even bowl a few lanes. If you would like to join us, RSVP here.
