Dear Colleague:
"Spring Break" has concluded and the IIT campus is once again clamoring with activity as students enjoy the first warm days of March to play Frisbee golf, touch football on the lawn in front of Crown Hall (College of Architecture), and chess outside of the MTCC (our equivalent of a student union). As I returned to the office to meet with a small group of our first-year students to discuss their plans for the summer, I thought about how quickly we have moved from their arrival on campus to this day.
As we work together to prepare for the next set of students who will arrive at IIT, I wanted to take a moment to share some opportunities which might be of interest to you and your students.

The course will assist participants in making an informed decision about pursuing an architectural education and career.
The program includes field trips to Chicago's architectural landmarks and architectural offices; instruction in freehand sketching with an emphasis on interpreting and visualizing the world around us; studio classes with an emphasis on design through 2-d representations and 3-d constructions utilizing computer imaging and model building; and a session on developing and focusing career plans.
