January 20, 2010

Congratulations on your acceptance to Illinois Institute of Technology!

As part of our commitment to welcoming you to the IIT community, I will be sending you a series of emails to keep you up to date on the enrollment process, as well as current events on campus.

Last week, we enthusiastically welcomed our new and returning students for the Spring 2010 academic semester.  Spring classes began on January 11th, but in a short amount of time, our students will already be making exciting plans for the summer.  Graduating students will soon be thinking about starting new careers or furthering their education here — we offer law school and Ph.D. programs — and across the country.  Many of our continuing students will be completing interviews for summer internships, considering which courses to take over the summer, and/or setting their sights on traveling internationally.  All in all, the campus is now full of activity.

Recently, we have been receiving many emails and phone calls from future IIT students such as yourself regarding what steps to take to proceed with enrollment process.  Here is some action to take (if applicable):

  • Send us the enrollment form and your deposit.

You can complete our Reply to Offer of Admission (enrollment) form online by going here.  Alternatively, you can download a PDF version of the enrollment form here, complete it, and send it to us — Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Please remember to send us your enrollment deposit along with the enrollment form.  You may submit your enrollment deposit online; instructions on how to do so can be found here under the "Pay your enrollment deposit" step.

  • Complete your housing contract.

The Room and Board (housing) Contract should be completed online; you can do so by going to myroom.iit.edu and signing in to your account.

Learn about housing choices and campus living by going here.

  • Visit Main Campus!

If you haven't had a chance to visit campus yet, we encourage you to do so.  You can schedule a weekday or Saturday visit, or join us for our Winter 2010 Open House.  We look forward to showing you what IIT is all about!

If you are not able to physically come to campus, you can still visit IIT!  Go through our virtual tour of Main Campus at admission.iit.edu/virtual_tour.html.  In addition, you can take a 360° tour of IIT by going here.

Again, congratulations on your acceptance.  If we can assist you or your family in any way over the course of the coming months, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Gerald P. Doyle
