Most of us in Chicago don't think about where to find clean water from day to day, but millions elsewhere are forced to for their survival. IIT senior Mark Rokita witnessed the latter situation first-hand during recent trips to Haiti with IIT's student chapter of Haiti Outreach. "Going there and seeing everything just changed me," he said.
Mark and his fellow classmates wanted to do something about the disparity they observed. They have since been traveling to Haiti regularly to construct a $250,000 project that will help supply water to over 10,000 people.
How will you change the world? To obtain some ideas, go here.
Sincerely,
