Finding ways to make IIT's campus and the world more sustainable is important to IIT students. It's a driving force behind many interdisciplinary research projects that are discovering ways to use hydrogen to power campus vehicles, use the sun's energy to run computers, harness wind energy to run the lights, and create buildings that can hold heat in the winter and keep cool in the summer.
