As a cornerstone of IIT's Greek community, members participate in community service and philanthropic events. Recently, members of Kappa Phi Delta and Sigma Phi Epsilon spent time volunteering as "blanketeers" for Project Linus. The non-profit organization, founded by the mother of current student Ross Johnson (EE '10), makes blankets to donate to children's hospitals.
Through Greek life and the commitment to community that comes with it, IIT students find a way to give back.
Sincerely,

P.S. Tell us about your community service activities and we'll donate a book to libraries in the IIT/Bronzeville community: The Quiltmaker's Gift or The Quiltmaker's Journey. These texts celebrate the quilting tradition as well as the value of generosity and spirit of community. |
