Contrails are the digital trails of technical literature formed in the wake of aerospace research, and a fitting name for this digital collection created and maintained by the Government Documents Depository at IIT's Paul V. Galvin Library. It is a primary resource for researchers in mechanical, aerospace, and materials engineering, manifested in the form of full-text, technical reports. Contrails also provides a considerable amount of historical information from the space race in the 1950's and early 1960's.
